Membership to the Madison Retriever Club is open to all persons eighteen years of age or older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes of this club. Applications require sponsorship and endorsement by one member in good standing.
If you know someone who is currently a member in good standing, you can contact them directly about membership. If you don't know anyone that's currently a member, we can set up a meeting with you and one of our club members to introduce you to what our club has to offer and what we expect from our members.
Membership fees are $590/year for Amateur and $630/year for Professional memberships, payable in full at the time a membership application is submitted. Work credits are issued at $10 per volunteer hour with a maximum of 40 hours ($400/year). Work credits earned in the current year of membership will be credited to the member at the time of membership renewal. New members will receive double credit for work credits earned in their first year of membership to be applied to their second year renewal with a maximum credit of $590.00.
Lifetime Membership is offered to members that are at least 62 years of age, plus their years of membership is equal to or greater than 80. Lifetime Members will be recognized by automatically receiving maximum credit for the yearly work credit portion of their membership dues without being required to work.
Junior Membership is offered to members between the ages of 18 and 25. Total dues for Junior Membership are 1/3 of those for regular membership with the opportunity to use work credits to offset the entire amount.
If you're interested in joining the Madison Retriever Club and do not have a sponsor, please send an email to New Member Chair, Amy Sturino at amysturino84@gmail.com.
